As a photographer working in both fields, my job is to synthesize the desires of my clients (which are often interior design firms as well as architectural firms) and create a stunning visual narrative of both the interiors and exteriors of the spaces they design.

The modernization included the latest sound and light boards so any Broadway or off-Broadway production could thrive here. The images show that the stage and part of the fly (which extends up to 100) were also completely redone as well as new velvet curtains to help seduce the audience. According to Architectural Digest’s Fazzare, “the decorative plasterwork on its proscenium arch, ceiling, and walls was returned to its original paint colors after a meticulous analysis.”

I was approached by MILK studios in New York City to help create images of a lifestyle and branding center called Intersect by Lexus, which already had locations in Tokyo and Dubai. It was my favorite type of shoot … an amazing space that needed my special architectural photography superpower.

580 Fifth Avenue in NYC is at the heart of Midtown and the Diamond District. It was exhilarating to drive around NYC so early with no traffic and I was thrilled when my assistant Fernando Souto turned up on his trusty bicycle. We ran to the building, dropped off the extra stands and lighting, and ran back into the cold to face the dawn.
